Who we Are

United Dairy Farmers is one of the leading dairy businesses in the UK. It was formed by milk producers to provide a co-operative through which they could process and market their milk supplies when the Milk Marketing Board for Northern Ireland ceased trading in 1995. As part of the deregulation arrangements United acquired Dromona Quality Foods, the milk processing arm of the MMBNI, and the United Group has since developed its business interests through organic growth and a series of strategic acquisitions.

In 2001 the Group acquired Dale Farm Dairies from Express Dairies, subsequently merging this business with Dromona Quality Foods to create Dale Farm Limited.

Dale Farm now has 6 modern milk processing facilities in Northern Ireland, England and Scotland and manufactures and distributes an extensive range of dairy products to both domestic and international markets.

In addition the Group supplies animal feed and other inputs to farmers.
